Double girder overhead crane is one of the two most common types of crane today, with a hoist-type structure running on two main beams in the form of a box or a space truss. The main girder is structured in the form of a box or a space frame. Space truss girder is lighter than box girder only for double girder gantry crane with lifting capacity and large aperture. Boundary beams are made in the form of boxes.

The two ends of the main girder are connected to the side girder vertically and horizontally with a rigid bearing in the form of high-strength bolts. Side beams fitted with moving wheels run on crane rails placed along the floor of the workshop on the shoulder of the column.
