How does the casting process take place?

Casting steel is a form of pouring molten liquid into the mold and then waiting for the liquid to solidify and cool to form a casting material.

How does the casting process take place?

The finished liquid bulk steel is poured into continuous casting equipment to form a long bar. This long rod is the original shape for rolling processing. Very large blocks for forging are cast in metal molds.

Continuous casting

In the continuous casting method, liquid steel from the reservoir (money furnace) is poured into an intermediate container. From this tank, the steel flows continuously into a water-cooled and solid molded mold in the edge. In an arc-shaped cooling chamber with directional rollers, the steel bar is sprayed and diverted horizontally. After changing direction and exiting the cooling chamber, the steel bar is modified and cut into pieces.

Through continuous casting, we get the ingots for machining rolling with dimensions attached to the surface of the finished product. Therefore, in the next rounds, only a few stages are taken care of.

Through sudden cooling, cast steel by continuous casting method has a finer structure than molded steel. Thanks to this advantage, the continuous casting method far surpasses and replaces the mold casting method

Processing steel

Long bared or block steel is rolled, pulled forged or pressed continuously to form semi-finished products and finished products.

Semi-finished products are intermediate products, such as rolling blocks or slabs (slabs). These semi-finished products will continue to be processed to become finished products. Finished products are shaped steel and bar billets (rebar or round steel bars), steel sheets (thin rolled steel sheets), steel pipes and steel wires
