The 4th outbreak of COVID-19 in Vietnam has caused many businesses to go bankrupt or stop operating, but there are still businesses that stick around and grow even stronger thanks to innovative innovations and breakthrough solutions. Typically the recent studies of Mr. Nguyen Tang Cuong - the land giant in Ninh Binh, who is known as the "King of Steel", "King of Cranes"...
COVID-19, a tool to check the "health" of businesses
Sharing with reporters (PV), Mr. Nguyen Tang Cuong - General Director of Quang Trung Industry Group said that the COVID-19 outbreak on a large scale has affected most socio-economic fields.
Due to the implementation of the distance, the trade between localities is limited, many business and service activities have to close or stop operating. Quang Trung Industrial Group is no exception. We faced a lot of difficulties when the COVID-19 epidemic broke out again.
“However, I think the COVID-19 epidemic is a tool to check the "health" of businesses. From the distance, we have a great opportunity to restructure the business, have time to be creative and develop 4 new products "- Mr. Cuong said.
Mr. Nguyen Tang Cuong - General Director of Quang Trung Group is researching solutions for water transport
This solution, I think, is only suitable for young people and athletes, while the elderly, children, and pregnant women are not suitable. Or how to drop people into the rubber hose, let it swirl down, but this solution is only suitable for buildings 7 floors or less. One is a rescue solution for mini apartments, but can also be used for high-rise buildings. Currently, rescue equipment around the world must be tied to people and then dropped.
“To overcome the above limitations, we developed a very convenient and compact mini rescue product that can be placed in a suitable location in the apartment, when needed and used the power source. from Battery. Each time can save about 4-5 people in a family. The elderly can also move into the cabin, press the switch to go to the ground "- Mr. Cuong said.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tang Cuong, the beauty of this method is that it can both resist heat and suffocate. Currently, when buildings have fires, the rate of people asphyxiated usually accounts for 60-70%, and only 20-30% of burns cases. While the solution created by us is not only convenient but also advantageous, proactive, and effective in preventing asphyxiation and burns.
The second product is used for high-rise buildings, crowded with people, at a time can save 6 floors with about 500 people. Accordingly, the rescue equipment designed by Quang Trung Industry Group once lowered can save 500 people. This is a new product, which is in the process of asking ministries to appraise and evaluate.
The third product, applied to rescue and rescue office buildings for rent and restaurants. The fourth product, Mr. Cuong said it was a mini container truck lifting device.
“Currently, the container system from seaports to the locality has to be lifted and lowered very difficult. Businesses have to hire other cranes to come, which is both time consuming, expensive and passive. While our products are always mounted on the vehicle system, the operation is quick and the price is reasonable," said Mr. Cuong.
Awakening the potential of water transport
Talking to Tien Phong, the "king" of land cranes in Ninh Binh said that in advanced countries, it is estimated that about 80% of the volume of goods is transported by waterway, mainly inland waterways and seaways.
Meanwhile, in Vietnam, the focus is too much on roads. We invest a lot of money in roads, but we still can't meet the demand. On the contrary, increasing pressure on the road system, causing congestion, increasing the risk of traffic accidents, the cost of transportation by road is very high.
Meanwhile, the economic potential from water transport is very large but almost left open and has not been paid attention to.
Engineers of Quang Trung Group are researching and operating apartment rescue equipment
"Giant" Nguyen Tang Cuong pointed out: Actually, there are also businesses interested, but are entangled in 5 bottlenecks. There are 101 estuaries in the whole country, 101 estuaries are alluvial, many places can even walk through. But inside the estuary is very deep, some places up to 10-12m deep, making it difficult for ships to travel, having to wait for the tide to rise.
Second, because there is no long-term calculation, most of the current road bridges across the river have very low traffic.
Third, the system of estuaries and canals annually does not have funding for dredging and filling more and more.
Fourth, most river ports in the Mekong Delta and Red River Delta do not have loading and unloading equipment. The reason is that there have been no large ships coming in for a long time, and the water transport capacity is modest, so it is not interested in investment.
Fifth, the connection of river and sea transport is still limited. River ships cannot go to the sea, sea ships cannot enter deep into river ports.
“These 5 bottlenecks make river and sea transport constrained, making the logistics service industry unable to promote. Water transport has many advantages such as low cost, less traffic jams, less accidents... but because it has not been exploited, it leads to potential waste and damage to the economy, "- Mr. Cuong said.
“King” crane said: “In order to exploit well the economic potential of this type of water transport, on the State side, I propose 3 issues: Clearing the estuary areas; introduced technology to enhance the stillness of bridges over rivers; set aside an annual amount of funding for dredging waterway traffic”.
"I dedicate these solutions so that ministries, sectors and even other businesses can research and apply, contributing to the economic development of the country."
Mr. Nguyen Tang Cuong
On the private side, the river port system will be invested to install equipment capable of loading and unloading; research and manufacture ship models suitable for both waterways and seas.
“In the immediate future, I propose to install some crane equipment on river ships, so that when crossing the bridge, we can adjust the crane to lie down, helping the ship to pass easily. Besides, Quang Trung Industry Group can contribute 2 solutions: One is to make the estuaries not be deposited. The second is to raise the airspace of the bridges by a few more meters without having to demolish the old bridge. If possible, I would like to suggest the relevant ministries and branches to set up a working group to implement the two issues mentioned above," said Mr. Cuong.
Mr. Cuong shared that he has spent decades researching and experimenting on tides and sedimentation at estuaries and wants to donate this scientific work to the state.
“The first solution, we will use 'toxin treatment', completely by self-researched technology.
If we understand the laws of river flow and tides, it will narrow the flow, create pressure according to physical principles with a speed of 2m/s, will limit sedimentation in the estuary but still keep fresh water. irrigation service...
